Destani Castaneda was interviewed by Arizah Salazar on February 12, 2017. She interviewed Destani because she wanted to know more about her.
“As a kid I always wanted to be a medical assistant because that was what my mom was for years,” said Destani.
In 2014, Destani graduated from Pima Medical Institute college and received a certificate for a certified medical assistant. Two weeks after graduating school, Destani was hired at a clinic that is both urgent care and family clinic. Destani has been there for 2 years and 6 months now and is loving every moment of it.
“Becoming a medical assistant, has taught me a lot,” said Destani.
Destani says being a medical assistant has taught her a lot because she has to deal with patients and their personal lives. She loves it because she gets to help people get better.
“If you wanna achieve something in life, never give up on it,” said Destani.
